Insolence

Insolence

A Poem by Fellgleaming
"

A friends insolence

"
indirect influence
seems my only bane
contrary to popular belief
I've never been vain

inciting my beliefs
silently into others
never my intention
still we become brothers

time slowly drags on
oh the thing you'll see
a comfortable numbness
that my friend, is the key

yet this time you've
taken things too far
you care for nothing
except that damn car

preaching against such
hypocrisy becomes your profession
you've become what you hate
profit your only obsession

I don't see the friend
I met long ago
only the victim of
your own bravado
