Glass Window

Glass Window

A Poem by Paige O'Connor

Feel my pain,
Every instant, every moment,
Every second,
When it rains.

Witness my fear,
When thunder rolls in,
When winds howl and lightning cracks,
When there is no light of day.

I shiver.
I shake.
But I will stay strong,
And strong I shall stay.

So go ahead.

Lean on me.
Breathe on me.
Shatter me,
Into a million pieces and,
pick up each one,
with your bare hand.

But hold me there,
For another lifetime to pass by,
Tuck me into your warmth,
Like clouds tuck the moon into the night sky...

I am your glass window.
