Falling Sands

Falling Sands

A Poem by FireBornOmega
"

"Time is what we want most, but what we use the worst." - William Penn

"

The ticking sands fall with laze

The sentinels lock their spiral gaze

Waste not on thoughts unknown

Nor on your talents fully grown

Time is a keeper of many loops

An endless fall of sandy troops

Until it twists, begins a cycle anew

As though, in Fate's weave, on cue

O, how the eerie sands warp and turn

As the lamenting luminous lights burn

Should one the heaven's sands shake

Punishment will come for their crime

For, like me, if you seek to hold time

Only chaos will come in your wake
