Not Tearing Me Down

Not Tearing Me Down

A Poem by Jessica

Whenever I am starting to get away
You come back and woo me
I don't know how you do it
It's like you're hypnotizing me
When will I be immune?

And now I'm after someone else
What are you going to do
To stop me this time
I'm building a wall against you
But every brick I put up, you knock down

Do you find joy in this?
In my melancholy moods
Does my smile kill you inside?
Do you always have to bring me down?
Not this time, you don't

I know you are going out of your way
Just to make sure I feel at least unhappy
But I've got my eye on someone else
And boy you wish it was you
But you have hurt me too much
Get out of my head
Get out of my life
Just get out
