![]() Who Are YouA Poem by S StoneWho are you who gathered near, All mine trials, hardships, fears? Who are you who pulls within, The tempting drawstring of mine sin? Who are you who from me strolled, To the chorus of bells tolled? You of briar, thorn, and fountain, You the russet on the mountain, You who ever pulled me from love, While sat in judgement far above, You who ever laid me low, From your luring down below, Who are you ever near, Whilst I writhe and grapple with fear? I know you once, I know you thrice, You the Emperor of vice, Lend me now your callous hand, For man's laws I'm sure to bend, My last friend, my greatest foe, The master/mistress of my woe. © 2022 S StoneFeatured Review
