The Crow

The Crow

A Poem by Ruby Akira
"

A talk with a Crow

"
Crow Crow
That cries so loud and long
What untold secrets are held in your crooked feathers?
Crow Crow
Where do you fly?
In the midnight blue sky
Crow Crow
Where is your partner?
Have you not found them yet or have they turned to dust?
Crow Crow
With an ominous tone
What name do you carry?
Crow Crow
The murder is gone
Where did they go? Why did they disappear?
Crow Crow
Who is smart and wise
Why is your song so sorrowful?
Crow Crow
Who holds bitter grudges and souls
What tore your bright colors away?
Crow Crow
Tell me
Why are you the symbol of darkness in a blackened sky?
Crow Crow
The foreteller of death
Why do things die?
Crow Crow
I must know
Whose hands created the creatures known as corvids
