Not just what I want...

I don't need anyone
is the lie I tell myself
As I lock up my heart
and place it on a shelf

I need to explore
is another lie too
A lie I spoke before knowing
life again without you

How vulnerable I am
you may never know
Because you build walls
and choose to let me go

I know what I need
I know what is true
I wish that you knew
my answer is you

Heart-wrenching emotion...I'm sure we all meet at least one person through the course of our lifetimes that generates these feelings in us...I think I have a laundry list of them. This one spoke to me on a very deep level...another great piece.

Heart

This big lie I tell myself
