Unshattered Me

Unshattered Me

A Poem by FlamingPhoenix
"

Every everything

"
I loathe you now
Every second we shared
And everything your memory represents
But most importantly how

You made me question
Every facet of my being
And everything with you I felt
But most importantly the lesson

You brought into my life
Every moment of doubt
And everything about trust
But most importantly the knife

You used to stab me in the back
Every hate-filled accusation
And everything to disconnect
But most importantly what you lack

I tried to say goodbye with loving and humble words
Every mistake atone for
And everything show gratitude
But most importantly let my voice be heard

You sought to bring me down
Every fiber in me shatter
And everything we shared eradicate
But most importantly ensure that my innocence would drown

I refuse to let you break me
Every cynicism I now release
And everything you ever were
But most importantly any love in you that I believed

I get this. The beauty of this piece is that it could be for a lover, a friend, a parent ... anyone who treats us this way. Wonderful.

This is pure. Directly from your soul's visage. Expressing emotions perfectly. I think as time progress your skills will evolve even further and you will mask your intent with the perfect sequence of words. Great read..

It's sad when people bring us down, or won't accept that it's over and they have to be so hurtful when it's time to leave.
Great poem Phoenix.
