inconsistant

My characters are based off myself. They've been called not characters at all, but random bundles of emotions that make even more random decisions. Not people but contradictions.

if i decide to be open one day,

at the first hint of fear

i close.

 

if i decide to be a hard shell the next

at the first sign of compassion

i open.

 

if i decide to be honest for you,

at the first word of her

i lie.

 

if i decide to keep it hidden,

at the first word of me

i burst.

I like how you've written this in a consistent pattern yet it's about inconsitency. Clever. But also another nice poem.
