I'm Fine

I'm Fine

A Poem by Nana Carmine
"

Just something I put together

"

Don’t let me think tonight dear

Or nothing will be alright.

Don’t let me have one last dream

Or else I fear I will never wake up.

I am stuck on this edge

And I fear I am about to fall.

All hope is gone

And nothing holds me up.

My will is growing weary

As day by day I push myself to the edge.

How long will I continue

In this alternate reality?

With a fake smile plastered on my face

As I repeat over and over again

The same horrible lie.

‘I’m fine’

Im sure we all say this far too much,I know I do. Maybe we should stand out and say 'well I'm not make me feel better'.

I've felt this way on countless occasions, and I really like the writing style. Easily understood, with it's clear message, well written (as previously stated by other readers).. I like it. Good job Nana.. But you seem really down lately, feel better, okay?

such an over used word. it always masks up when we're truly down. what a white lie that everyone has said before. a great piece. great job
