Save the World We Must

Save the World We Must

A Poem by Samantha.

I stare up at the world

In view of all disgust

I see the pain of children

And the tortured souls of warriors turning to dust

Everyone yells peace but

They do nothing for the cause

So many people crying for all the hearts we’ve lost

Tears have fallen from every eye

And so many children ask why

Why do we fight?

Why do we die?

Why does no one understand that we need peace to live our lives?

Mothers crying for there children lost in war

Fathers crying for there pregnant daughters they ignore

Children crying for the parents they don’t see anymore

What has the world come to?

What are we supposed to do?

Children are left all alone

Families are left without a home

And after all this I tell you

We must save the world we must

But even when our bones become dust

Our souls will once more cry out

We must save the world we must
