Grasped by MoonlightA Poem by ForgottenA poem that talks abou the moon, its forgiving nature as we stain and defile it, but heal it also as we care for it and love. There really is no bigger beauty, the brother moon sits elegantly and still, the tranquillity holds my mind in a form of awe, it shines down upon the undeserving earth, it witnesses the death of man and the breakdown of society, why must we subject it to our pain. The gentle light beckons you to its illuminate light, grasped by the bitter cold around you it comforts you, like the mother to a child its gentle nature soothes you, calm like the wind and gentle like a flower, the beauty grasps you. But still the violence below insults it, the bitter society and government stains it, our hate and anger pierces it, we board it like a common vessel, we are underserving of its nature, how can we hurt it, its beauty and its forgiveness. Yet every gentle soul, every kindred spirit heals it, the light shines upon those who treasure it and cherish it, those gentle souls who hold the very spirit of the moon in their hands are the deserving, the hate of a thousand people will never outnumber the healing of two lovers. Yes we should anger him and we should insult him, but the beauty of this is, he forgives us, not for those who damage, murder, kill, lie and deceive, but for those who love, heal, care and hold, the moon forgives us for them.
