Realization

Realization

A Poem by FoxandtheSword
"

For anyone stuck somewhere in their own minds who needs to get out

"
I watched myself wither away into dust and air,
a staircase like spine leading up to a dark attic,
a place so haunted and broken
Held down by the monsters who walk on Earth,
~
Until I was atop the highest mountain did I realize,
That freedom is nothing but a state of mind,
and just like that,
a flickering light came on,
in the quiet room upstairs,
and I could live
again.

Life in a town to me is stifling
Let me be atop a hill
A mountain better
Beside a clam and peaceful lake
For those does my heart ache

This was wonderful! I really liked the line that That freedom is nothing but a state of mind as well as I could live again. It gave me hope that maybe I too, can live again.

I love talking and thinking about this topic - Freedom. It indeed is a state of mind and is so pure that even a hint of it makes me feel liberating. One must not fall slaves to any kind of desires. The mind is free where life is lived at present. Awesome read. Stay blessed :)
