Red Heart Paperweights

Red Heart Paperweights

A Poem by Foxemerald

~ Red Heart Paperweights ~

Hate,

Disgust-filled disease,

One with pen attempts to-

Cultivate,

Which flows so well,

Beneath her heart-patterned weights-

That rest, lightly upon her writing desk,

Washing her brain-child with a measure,

Of red rainbows through twists-

Of a shadowed sunlight,

As she quietly contemplates,

Gliding down into her warm seat,

Like a smooth river flow-

Deep, perilous rush,

Of solemn ripples,

Never saying a thing,

As her pen drifts, slowly across-

The torrent of colors rouge . . .

Her pen and physical body,

Wait pausing-

Sinking low like waterfalls-

Of a deep melancholy . . .

Heavy hate,

Disgust-filled-

Which they cultivate,

Through a passionate vibe-

That trickles slowly,

Through thick forces of weight,

And a heady love,

Sensuous, red hues that saturate,

Through these paperweights . . .

Why, oh, why did I choose these hearts?

You've woven a disturbing tale here, much angst and frank introspection, questioning one's own heart, lovely metaphors and classic smooth lines make this a superb read.

As her pen drifts, slowly across
The torrent of colors rouge,

Love it.
