To Be Sexy

To Be Sexy

A Poem by Foxemerald

To Be Sexy
(March 29 2020-
On a Mountain)

I turned on Shakira the other day
He told me that I should learn Reggaeton to
Know it- sexiness. Standing here I light
My cigarette in the dark, was it you that
Wrote this line?
You never really made a lot of sense. And yet
Songs start off
With a light iridescent. A truth meshes
In with the mike, in order to be sexy I guess.
I have doubt in my breast
Which tries to unfurl each m little wrap when I
Struggle with the jointed ashes.
A joint . . . that’s what they called it? More like mess, Reggaeton, vodka and life in the South is a
Little something. LSD makes hallucinogenic
Then the rest comes like
A freight train running through the star-spotted emptiness. I think that I am simply alchemist, a mix of the right ingredient to make the world explosive
Nothing this, nothing pat, a simple recipe for sexiness-
do I jest?
