Missing You

Missing You

A Poem by Foxemerald
"

Grandma, I miss you ~

"
Missing you today
The velveteen sky soothes my ache
A car hurdles past into the bleak
Escape. The crickets sing and balls like Saturn, dash across the canvas gray
The fissions of a wayward game that went abandoned with
Disdain. The cars go by me in frenzy,
Headlights to people’s coming home announcing, as they
make their journey rushing madly,
The bog is a watery picture that
Reflects the waning night above my head,
And it’s many sounds. All I want is to reflect but the
Life around me seems to say ‘go on! it’s-
In the past.’
Missing you today but my thoughts are only
Clouds that become the backdrop to a
Play put out in favorite sonnets which- Night in its derision,
Plays.

There are some really nice poetic lines here Emerald. I felt the ache you have for your Grandma. It will soften with time. Nicely penned.

Yes. It was painful to write. I can still hardly glance over it.
