^BLOOD^

^BLOOD^

A Poem by Fran Marie
"

Vampire

"

He walks by night and sleeps by day
A nightly curse he does portray
with trails of blood for his display
Are you his prey? His deadly prey!

His spell is cast,'neath midnight's moon
Beware! he comes, so very soon
to drink your blood from mortal's wound
'neath midnight's moon, immortal's moon

A demon dark,he's straight from hell
to control you with ghastly spells
just when he comes, you cannot tell
he does it well, so very well

This Vampire~will steal your soul
in nightmare dreams, he takes control
with no remorse, his mission bold
Beware! your soul, he'll steal your soul

His midnight flight,hovers above
stalking your veins,for wanton blood
with blood-red lips, he drains a flood
from sweet warm blood, he Vants your ^BLOOD^

I like this. I am a vampire of sorts. I don't stalk about in the night and steal souls. I do take blood though. I am a nurse and phlebotomy is just one of the yucky things that I love about my job. :)

I am reading a lot about vampires right now. I do not know if it is because of the time of year or if this is just a common theme on the cafe. I do like this piece though. "stalking your veins, for wanton blood", I think this is my favorite line. I intend to write a piece about vampires or a vampire at some point.

I write in many genres. I do have one horror piece out there that you may be interested in checking out. REDEMPTION DRAWETH NIGH If you check it out, comment on it and let me know what you think.

Nice tribute to the classical vampire myth; makes me think that this is how they warn children in some remote Transylvanian village, because it has that quality of behold and beware!

This was an excellent read, although the effect of the font is a bit off. I see the impact intended, but it's really just to hard to read easily. Just a thought though!

Just in time for Halloween...the last line reminds me of the old Bela Lugosi movies....Thats why I love this time of year....all the old movies get rotated out, in all its B Rated movie glory.
The rhyme was spot on, and flowed rather well. It wasnt over done, nor cheesy...as these types of writes can easily become.
Awesome on you!

Imagery was fantastic felt so dark and eerie. Like some one was watching me read this piece. I loved it. Such a great piece I like seeing this style of work from you. Very imaginative and flowing. I love vampires and zombies and any thing that has to do with them so I especially enjoyed this piece. Very creative.

Great Job!!!!
