Faded~ Fresh Flowers

Faded~ Fresh Flowers

A Poem by Fran Marie

Do you remember
the fresh fallen rain
breezes thru~ trees
fields in abundance
of sun's golden grain?
My senses remember

Do you remember
to savor each day
and the
full fragrance of flowers
blooming in May?
such sweet aroma
I remember

Do you remember
each season
and hold it so dear
Spring
Summer
Fall
and winter's cold December?
My heart, it does so remember

Do you remember me?
a day in September
when brisk autumn leaves fell
and we walked thru~ the green forest
My spirit remembers it well

I know you remember me
on a velvet moonlit night
when we sang life's tune
of sweet love rendered,
and summer's soft stars dance
high in the sky
Sleepy yawns awakened  to
dawn's rising light
My eyes remember the sight

As flowers Faded
 and fresh flowers flourish
so goes the circle of life
renewed and refreshed
with love it is nourished

All yesterdays fly away with the wind
So it is my soul that shall remember
Always remember, again.

The moments each of us "always remembers".... ;~) At this moment I'm recalling a morning, still dark, the moon above, when I awoke in my sleeping bag with the friends I bedded down in-between still to my righ and left... yet, somethings was odd.... we were a 50 to 75 yards down-hill from where we'd originally opening our sleeping roles around 10pm. Well, it was chilly and being that far from the group wasn't good at night so I awakend my friends as I unzipped and stood up out of my sleeping bag. I was half way up the hill before they quit "inch-worming" their way up-hill and ran up to join me and get back to sleep. The sun of course awakend us all to early but, thankfully I wasn't going to the top of Long's Peak that day... I was just staying put to finish my read of Edward Abbey's The Journey Home and to rest my spained and aching ankle so I might not be the last down the mountain like I was the last one up to "base-camp". ;~) I'll "Always Remember AGAIN" many times, fun times had by me. ;~) Fabulous WRITE!! This was a delightful write...very nice flow; smooth and serene. I enjoy the way that you paint a picture of "remembrance"; the way that it seems as though you are closing your eyes and actually writing what it is that your mind sees and your senses feel. Nice work choice...the word "remember" started sticking out to me a little by the end, but overall, well done.

Each season hold its own special memories...but not all take the time to savor and enjoy. Very nice. Holly

This is great! I love the romatic feel to it. It is very victorian in nature. I loved the whole poem but then again I love all your writing!

This is beautiful. Really like the use of sweet things we shouldn't take for granted like the flower and rain, and how these things can help us to remember a loved one. Perhaps a special memory of being in the rain together. Sweet.
