Senryu

"
         lost without your love
my naked heart sinks~slipping
          into hell's abyss

         a slippery slope
I can't climb~nor can i grasp
         drowning where I stand

so true..thanks for
reading albee; and
for reviewing my poems;
Dear Fran, your double senryu certainly conveys the hopeless feelings of trying to cope when the love of your life is no longer with you. I thought of my sis who lost her husband to covid earlier this year. She tells me that there are days when she feels she is drowning. Your posted image is striking. These lines could represent loss through breakup or death.
