Hologram Dreams

Hologram Dreams

A Poem by Fran Marie

                She was a vague vision
distant

  jagged and distorted

      stumbling over her insecurities

                   following dark shadows

shaded in hologram dreams
         that held back positive light

          a speed demon

             going nowhere.....

My first thoughts of this is a woman - maybe from Hollywood - starving for popularity, maybe for fame, maybe even for acceptance, but falling short in each. That dark side has a way of eating people up fast. Thoughts can be corrupted if one's not careful.

My second thoughts - Peg Entwistle. She's the woman who jumped from the hollywood sign and supposedly got the part to a movie the next day.

Yeah, I'm hung up on Hollywood with this one. haha

Good one, Fran. :)

A dark poem, yet very sad. It tells a story in a short amount of words!

This was unique and interesting. I got the feeling of insecurity and angst blended between the words. Very nicely penned. I enjoyed. F.

You are so very welcome.
a short bittersweet poem; you touch on someone who I feel lives in a dark abyss... that looks to others as if she lives in the shadows, not in the light. Her thoughts dark and jagged and little self image projected; in other words she's taking the wrong path.
Nice work!
Best, B

the late reply..i so appreciate
your words always😊
when one feels less worth....darkness is pervasive, all-inclusive...
and we are so held back by our own misgivings.

I really liked the idea of portraying the hope, a ray of positivity and a beam of sunshine amidst the darkness around us. Like somewhere in our demonic soul, we still have that angelic side prevailing.
Nice one Fran.
