In Vapors Caught

In Vapors Caught

A Poem by Fran Marie
"

Inspired by Pink Floyd's song Comfortably Numb

"

I call your name but you never hear
or maybe I've just imagine it
my mind is comfortably numb
to reality; my perception of time
and space askew

I can't forget each painful night
without you by my side
vibrant visions of you invade
 my thoughts; dusk..
dawn or midnight hour
stone illusions haunt me.

my heart hangs in broken pieces
cold icicles~frozen fingers.. reaching,
reaching out In darkness.. hello..hello
again echoes back ~ a sad refrain
but the angels say it's okay..it's okay
while the devils whisper let's play

I'm in the middle of nowhere..falling
falling but you're not there to catch me..
from crashing.or letting me fly too high.
. I call once more hello.. hello.
.jumbled words inside my head
as I walk in dome covered shadows
dark and sullen,wandering down
rainy streets caught in vapors of gray..
alone without you~

dearest Fran… when Life is dark and dreary.. it is just the shadow of an Angel’s Wing watching Over you. May you find Roses under the Snow when the Wind blows… we grow until Spring blossoms into Hope. tenderly, Pat

Thank you Dale
so.much appreciated🌷
I can feel the sadness and desolation within this poem. Sometimes it is hard to forget a former loved one who is no longer there for us, for whatever reason. Many of us have been in that very same situation. A poignant write, Fran!
