I definitely like this haiku. This is the best kind of work, in fact, because I learned something by reading it. "ev'ry" I never thought to do this with words of that type. I could think of many haikus where I could have written better by saving just one syllable. What do you call that, when you write a word like 'every' as "ev'ry?"
