Happy Was I

Memories

 

Lazy clouds drifted high overhead
in an azure sky
and for a brief Second
Happy was I

A crown of daffodils framed the
hillside in golden hue
and happy was I
to be, that day with you

For naught had I a plan
for such sudden bliss
as I succumbed
to your gentle caress
and happy was I
suduced by your kiss

Heavens opened show
to a lunar delight
bewildered by a magic maze
of stars, my heart took flight
and happy was I
under your spell, that night

For all glorious things on earth
and heavenly things above
happy was I
to have your love

I loved these Stanza's lines.
