The Joy of God

The Joy of God

A Poem by Fran Marie

The joy of God lives within my soul
richer than any Eathly happiness I know

My life is his to own and to walk with Him I pray.
         yet,I'm prone to wander astray

.
He's in control and to him I should obey
but sometimes my soul wanders its own way.

And should I choose  a life filled with sin
I know that I shall lose and demons within will win.

So I'll strive another day to follow the path that is right
clearly knowing, He is the way,the truth, and the light.

And when he comes again~I don't think we have long to wait.
I'll be prone to wander home Thru~ God's pearly gate.

God is for many the sacred word and a Hindu would say mantra, which has the potency to produce magical results. If we are concerned to evaluate a religion, we are well advised to evaluate the belief system of that religion, since its pluses and minuses will have implications for the evaluative status of the whole. That's what I did for myself. So I call God 'The Greater Mind', for I perceive my world differently, it is interesting how our thoughts can be shifted or settings altered if we change the point of our observation. The shifts in the balance of his power and testing of limits between the commandments and our conscience is a very interesting experience. aww.... this was warmhearted devoted and wonderful piece of writing, also the whole performance, fonts, colors, image.

Very nice. It is definitely a bit of truth, and it paints a lovely picture. Now I'm not a poet, and stanza 2 seems to fall out of rhythm. Not a big issue, just struck me and stayed with me on a second read through. As I said, I'm not a poet so feel free to ignore that last bit. (: Nice poem, thanks for sharing.

this was very nice..
God in my soul more than any happiness i know..i belong to him.i will always walk with him
he has all control and i obey, still at times i wonder..should i live my life in sin
and let all demons win..no,i strive some more, follow whats right, for i see he is truth and light
how i thought about this ,how we and lots are so close in thought
we know whats right ,yet at times we come to think different
then we come back to the right and truth and HIM..
really enjoyed this..
lovely write..
