Summer Breeze

There is mystery in the summer breeze that reaches back for me.
I hear a warm, soft, scented breath whispering quietly.
“Follow if you're bold enough to wander wild and free.
I will take you where your jaded heart has always longed to be.”
Captured by a hushed embrace as the earth dissolves from view.
Ahead in silent splendor old dreams ready to renew.
Lost within a Siren song no bonds restrain my mind.
Promises from other days are shuttered far behind.

Rejoicing in a noble dream once lost in an ancient citadel, 
new memories are now fashioned within this magic spell. 
Living only in a dream my soul at last obeys.
Finally so peaceful - in a melancholy way.
