Tomorrow

Tomorrow

A Poem by Francis J Grasso

Sometimes when I leave my bed, when sleep sends me away,

I turn to see my heart in tears, from the thoughts of yesterday.

Facing golden sunlight when silver beams have died,

New morning light brings forth the plight of tomorrow prophesied.
Thinking of tomorrow while visions from yesterday,
continue in their nightly march to foil light of day.
Bring me to that sacred place, take me there right now!
No more cares from yesterday; no longer soil tomorrow!
