ReflectionsA Poem by Fraser MurrayShort one about a part of my past
There are memories of sensations,
Lips against my skin Eyes so penetrating They could publish all my sins A single bed and warm embraces Floating high on borrowed wings But this life put us through our paces And our feathers became singed Hollow space in safest places Where her body should have been The burning cold of realisation Cutting sharply through the dream A shattered soul beyond salvation Far away and lost at sea And his horrific inclination To love too easily. © 2020 Fraser Murray |
