Drop A Symphony

Drop A Symphony

A Poem by Frederick P Samson

In the blackness, I cannot sleep,
In the light, I'm rendered blind,
In the silence, I cannot keep,
In the night, I spend my mind,

Static in the darkness,
Days are just a blur,
Distracted by the starkness,
I stay, I'm never there,

Cold when I'm cool, hot when I'm warm,
Even comfort just brings me aches and pains,
But when I take a stroll through the eye of a storm,
I'm content, just waiting for the break of rain,

Like a flash of lightening,
No need for a cover, so to go under,
At last it's not frightening,
Just knowing, what follows is thunder,

Not scary, it blurs my doubts, the noises,
I'm sound, I'm numb, encased with a sense on release,
No worries, no more cares bout the voices,
As it falls down, to just a humm, chaos brings me peace.
