Broken

Broken

A Poem by Callipyge

What's the diagnosis?
Heavy plexus
A round shape sore
A canon's target
Short of breath
Teary eyes and drooping face

You knew time was out
You'd expected it
Now you see it
Right in front of your eyes
Nothing you can do
Swallow the bump in your throat
Flipping channels
Talk non sence
Still there
Run, walk, activate
Still heavy
Running around in panic mode

How long do I have?
Doctor tell me
Is there hope?
Is recovery near?
What do you have to ease the pain?

Nothing he says
No cure, just time
You'll see he swears
But it's been so long
My heart needs treatment
How much do you want?

It's ok, he's happy now
You go on my dear
For the love of him
Release his heart
Recovery initiated
Broken heart lost in space
