My Baby

My Baby

A Poem by Callipyge

Pink and Pure

You are dancing

In that moment

Nobody is happier than you

With delight we applaud

We marvel at you

Your most loving fan club

Not so pink

Just as pure

You lay there sleeping

The whole world is happier than I

Corrosive pain invading me

Give me that ugliness

I do insist, I am stronger

Shrink back to eight pounds

I’ll put you back to safety

Right there in my warm belly

My promise to you fulfilled
