A Poem by Ellie W. Montreal
"

I don't know if I should let go, But I can't. And everytime we fight, I know it's not right, Everytime that you're upset and I smile, I know I should forget, But I can't.

"
I thought that when you left,
I'd be begging you to stay, hoping, wishing, praying that you'll never go away.
I expected tears to establish rivers down my cheeks.
But I was wrong.

Here I stand, & I'm holding the door open.
These tears of mine had never seen the light of day, not for you anyways.
My hearts aches with the melancholy pride one feels when they give the one they love most the boot.
But it wouldn't matter,
Because you wouldn't care.
