THANKSGIVING

THANKSGIVING

A Poem by GBU POETRY ONLY
"

Thanksgiving acrostic poetry

"
ime lingers on our fingers as we gather for a lovely meal
eads mesh & tumble as our tummys growl, 'oh what a thrill'
las the bird is cooked and the side dishes perk up with heat
othing can stop Uncle Sam as he runs and takes a seat
itchen lights go out as Aunt Mable and Alice serve the grub
ecretly I wonder if Uncle Johnny will snarl like a winter cub
reen beans, stuffing & cranberry sauce are my favorite treats
I  also like mash taters & gravy and sometimes some savory beets
arious desserts are displayed as we eat with vigor and speed
I  wonder which pie will come in 1st as tryptophan takes the lead
egotiating the table can be hard for some of the family clan
ood food is a gastric wonder cus nothing comes out of a can
