Seasons Come and Go

Seasons Come and Go

A Poem by G. A. Bernard

Spring so young and excited

Coming out of winter and searching

For new adventures, all wild-eyed and shedding its winter coat

Summer so hot and full of passion

For endless days and nights when lovers

Find each other, if only for a fling

Autumn so mellow and warm

Wrapping all who take the time to appreciate

In a kaleidoscope of colours only seen once a year

Winter so cold and unyielding

Snow now covers the life we knew only a few short months ago

While we wait like the Phoenix of legend to be reborn again
