La Dolce Vita

La Dolce Vita

A Poem by Beatles9322
"

This is about my Italian "boyfriend". I was listening to Three Good Reasons by Connie Francis, an Italian-American singer, and got inspired.

"
Your lips taste sweet like freshly made tiramisu.
How ironic, as you are my "pick-me-up".
Pour the delicious vino
And sit down with me.

Mi dica tuoi segreti.
Mie labbra bacio attesa.
Abbraccio me strettamente.
Non fatemi mai andare.

Italian-English Translations:
Mi dica tuoi segreti=Tell me your secrets
Mie labbra bacio attesa=Kiss my waiting lips
Abbraccio me strettamente=Hug me tightly
Non fatemi mai andare=Never let me go

This isn't meant to be good. I googled the translations. haha.

The picture is of the Trevi Fountain in Rome, Italy! I want to see it before I die.

I love the Italian language. I went there often to Italy as a young Soldiers station in Germany. The poem is beautiful. In so few words you create a beautiful moment to rememeber. A outstanding poem.
