Curtains

A Poem by Gabby Nieves

There’s nothing like the silence of a train racing by

The wind in my eyes and the moon light through my hair

To sit and sit alone.

The great wall of God’s existence to God’s absence

I fear not death, but its cold breath of the fall

To love and love forever.

I shiver in the summer’s day and ease in the night’s air

Illuminated ocean with a salty despair

To live is merely a saying

To live is to not care.

An interesting glimpse into a unique mind. Sometimes it's nice to get away from it all, where you can sit alone somewhere and just......have thoughts. :)
The great Wall of God's existence to God's absence......a great wall, indeed.
Illuminated ocean with a salty despair..... Love it.
I hope you keep writing, so I can keep reading and reviewing. (I believe this makes everything of yours I've reviewed now, haha).

Ahhh . . . A poem written outside the box. I like poetry outside the box. You touch on death and living, two of my favorite things. Death because I am much closer to it than I have ever been and living because for two lost decades I did live it with the motto that I did NOT care.

Well a motto like that one makes for one hell of a life story. Thanks for the review c:
