Masquerade

Masquerade

A Poem by GZ

Diminished light and golden parquet,
glorious melodies, drinks and banquet,
pink reflections and matching reds,
some now dance, some now rest.

Glamoured dresses, no mirrored images.
Blues, reds and greens: sarts' majestic vintages,
with matching parters, matching flowers,
they show their beauty for such long hours.

Dancing rhythms, syncing love,
there's who has attentions and who wants more,
gracious moves, hidden prodigies,
with never-shown qualities...

But unknown men and women,
the dancefloor's nameless leaders,
with masks on in these bright lights...
in these puzzling masquerade nights.
