Ghazal

Ghazal

A Poem by Gaia Octavia

The ledge I am perched on it crumbled on me

The thoughts in my head they were jumbled to me

There is no more time left to figure it out

My place in this world it has quite humbled me

Mortality faced me but I closed my eyes

I left it behind while it fumbled for me

So it goes to say it was no great surprise

To hear death’s stiff voice as it grumbled to me
