Two-Faced

Two-Faced

A Poem by Gaia Octavia

Worlds apart,
this dichotomy
I've got going on
deep inside of me

Love used to get me
so very excited
even though it always
turned out unrequited

Now love only
inspires apathy
and feeling superior
to some degree

It's no longer a longing
filling my mind
though once in awhile
feels like biding my time

'Till the longing returns
for its last curtain call
and I'm lost once again
to the inevitable fall
