We All Fall Down

We All Fall Down

A Poem by Gaia Octavia
"

"Environmental pollution is an incurable disease. It can only be prevented." -Barry Commoner

"
Let's burn it all down
and churn out another
forest fire
to light our discarded
garbage -
throw it all in the sea
and laugh as whales
wash up
on our dirty beaches -
bleed our oil
until we can
set the slick
on fire
let's all dance
as we spread our disease
and apathy

Until there's nothing left

The poem told a sad and true story. Man is foolish cannot see the beauty of the earth. Old Native Americans words. "I don't understand the white man ways. When he see great forest. He want to destroy the forest and make cities. He tossed garbage and waste in the sea and the lakes. The source of life. White man will not be content till the beauty of earth is gone."
Thank you Gaia for sharing the excellent poetry.

Yeeeeeesh.
(Jewish for - Tough stuff man.)

That's another depressing one, I guess.
I wonder what brought this on,
It's written well and definetly seems to shed some light on our less memorable moments as this world's dominant race. You've used your vocabulary well. Laughing like whales, bleeding like oil.

I like it.
