Watch This Space.......

It's taken me a couple of years to understand what this poem means!!

 

It feels like my

whole life

 has led

up to this moment.

The anguished cries of women scorned

The holy words misread, misused.

The Holy land, abused.

 

How long has the Mother lain,

Watching?

Waiting for this moment to arrive?

How long has she watched her children

Abuse and scourge each other in the name of the Father?

How long has she waited for this moment to arrive……..?

This moment

When all her children begin to look up,

And in,

To look and see

What is really real.

 

Once seen it cannot be pushed away.

The wings of the heart open wide

Allowing a love to pour in

To open the memories of all our lives.

All our moments

Of love and peace and joy.

 

Can we now bring these qualities of both Mother

And Father

Back into lives?

Can we join the threads of all our brothers and sisters

And create a new world?

A world where each is honoured,

Respected,

And loved.

A world in which life is lived in love and in Grace.

Can we break the bonds of slavery and servitude

So that we can each live in freedom?
