The Dark Spirit

The Dark Spirit

A Poem by Star

The dark spirit carries through the air
Appearing as a silver flare
Blazing bright as the sun passes by
For eternity the sun will rise.

An eagle soaring, prey it seeks,
Barely skimming the mountain peaks,
The spirit lingers, in mist it speaks,
Breezy and husky

'Fly me to the oceans deep
To see the creeping creatures creep
Up high in the sky,
I will not wait 'til morning
The new day is dawning.'

The dark spirit pauses, then swoops
'I'll be back with bad news,'
The full moon ends its float
Pale colours light that sky
For eternity the sun will rise....
