brown eyes
filled with laughter and pride
his only vulnerability
the only way to his mind
the way they squint when he's happy
looking empty when he's upset
the calculating observations
running through his head
his eyes never hinder
that protective caring stare
fixated on me
leaving me vulnerable and bare
its as if they see through me
but i don’t wanna hide
cause i trust him more than myself
