Old Goodbye

I forgot to mention that Robert Smith from The Cure is one of my biggest, if not THE biggest influence I have for my writing. A B-side track called "To The Sky" inspired this piece.

Verse 1: Strawberry lips and moon-lit eyes.
Talk to me, please. But don't go telling me lies.

It's a fine evening for a walk through the grove.
Is there something that you want?
Another stroll through the trove.
My mind aches of questions I never braved to ask.
Can we take this chance to wander?
To finally add the closure..
We could let it all go tonight..

But that is why I chase you.

The fire is barely going, and age has started showing.

Refresh my memory, let me touch your skin.
A tickle from a feather just to see your smile.
Tasting your breath and falling in the sea.
All these moments with you mean so much to me..
