Lover's Breath

Lover's Breath

A Poem by Gary McDonald

One breath is all I need
to feed my soul for eternity
it is a coffin made of stone
a holding home for all my sorrow
so breathe now whilst our lips meet
savour the taste of lover's test
to feel the passion of her every breath
and free this soul of lifeless mess.
So lover be as lover does, so lover breathe
and feel the love only my heart does.
