I Love Another

I Love Another

A Poem by Gary McDonald

"I love another" she said to me
"how can I love you, when you love not me"
this stream of tears should prove her wrong
stinging acid that sings my heart's song.

"If you leave me now, you leave my heart"
my words are only deafly heard, in part
for she turns to walk beyond that door
seen in a reflection of tears upon my floor.

I see her face in my every mirror
and feel her fingers in pillow's feather
"that lucky other" I cry to myself
If I ever find him, he should fear my stealth.

Very good job in portraying the anger and human emotions in their rawness.
