W***e in a Crypt

W***e in a Crypt

A Poem by Gypsy Butterfly

Tight jeans and bottled dreams;

dreams like fake tan.

Earrings in brown illusion;

an end without plan.

Mirrored into submission...

Fake eyelashes tinted, glinted and flinted

by nuclearotic fission.

Casual fridays into weekdays and weekends.

Forgivings takes places,

turning to apologetic amends.

Losing friends into strangers.

Swopping adventure for dangers.

Desserts into deserts;

w***e in a crypt.

I am sorry I have not been around in awhile. Time gets away from me in real life these days. I really liked this. Very descriptive and very true to life.

Hugs and Merry Christmas,
Lesa

Is this a new you? If feels different to how you were. It does't skip along like the old you and it's short on those little flashes and glinty bits. I like these two lines though...

Swopping adventure for dangers.
Desserts into deserts;

I can't work out 'A w***e in a crypt' but taken literally it sounds like a walk on the wild side. I've just looked again and 'dreams like fake tan' catches the eye and suggests total disillusionment.
