Wooden House

Wooden House

I would play close to the forest not to far from the little house. I loved that place and I would stay there forever.

I never really understood the chatter that happened but I was happy.

Now that I'm older, I see things that I never thought I'd see.

Now that I'm smarter, I know things I wish I didn't know.

They were close to me.

I looked to them, but now that I see the shadows I don't see why I did.

That little house

That little house meant a lot to me

But now the chatter is going to burn it down, turn it to ash, and walk away as if life is good

Nightmares happened there

Daydreams happened there

I still stay there, in the Wooden House

This feels like a place haunted by the ghosts of the past. I hear a child's voice speaking and wonder if this is a cottage or home in the woods or a tree house or fort maybe? Either way, it has a sort of chilling vibe.
