One Day

One Day

A Poem by Gene Von Banyard

I now realize that I am a horrible person.

People, objects and currency mean nothing to me.

Pity is a black hole.

Friends and family are allegorical figures of a tale

I have never been told.

Angels fall by my design as I seep and wallow upon a shore

Of indignity and disgrace.

They will come, one day, they will come.
