In this Box

A Poem by Dillon "Gerald" Steele
"

This is about a box that holds basically all my important life moments.

"

In this box

holds all my life

holds my mind

holds my strife

In this box

are broken hopes

and dreams

or so it seems

In this box

are letters of love

letters from the devil

up above

In this box

are things to make you shiver

make you cry

make you squirm

make you quiver

In this box

there are fears

that seem so kind

but ruin your mind

In this box

holds pictures

written words

there's a mixture

In this box

that I hold under my bed

every now and then opens

and the thoughts

pour into my head

In this box

I never want to see

holds my life

that is too scary for me.
