Life as a race

After looking back my childhood days, I realized that I loved the rhyming songs and melodies. So,I tried something like that in this new piece of writing.

Life is a race where you are the ace,

in this unknown place.
You may choose to look back and get out of track,

but remember the term 'counterattack'.
It depends on your decision as per your vision,

but needs precision.
Decision may be wrong but you need to go along,

like a karaoke song.
To your hand of right you may be right,

but you may not be alright.
But to your left, it may feel like theft,

but you somehow need to digest.
Right or wrong, you must be strong,

cause this is the world you belong.
Every decision you delay, people might betray,

making you a delightful prey.
Although you might make a mistake and let others overtake,

remember this is for your sake.
As for those mistakes you learn, wasting your turn but each and every time,

something valuable you might earn.
It may not be money and you might worry,

but I wont feel sorry.
Cause for me money is nothing but for many it may be something,

but is not everything.
What's important is yourself and your health,

but not your wealth.
You may go to pub or do a tedious job but at least do something you will really love.
